Business to consumer, a business that sells products or provides services to the end-user consumers.
Example: Choosing the most relevant e-communication tools is important for companies to cut down the latency and overhead in B2C (business to consumer) interaction and find the right consumer at the right time in an appropriate and efficient way.

Blog

Example: Fundamentally, a food BLOG is a more democratic form of media from the point of view of production as it is accessible to anyone with internet access and a certain level of IT skills.

Browser
noun
A browser is an application program that provides a way to look at and interact with all the information on the World Wide Web. This includes Web pages, videos and images.
Example: Each user account has its own set of cookies. However if there are multiple users working on the same user account, the web BROWSER cannot differentiate them.

Buyer Persona
noun
Buyer persona refers to a semi-fictional character or characters used by marketers to represent different buyer types and scenarios. These characters are created from market research and real data used by existing customers and leads. Personas used to represent real type consumers and customers that might visit the site, purchase a product, use the product, etc., in a similar manner. Marketers can combine personas with market segmentation. Qualitative personas are constructed to represent specific segments. Negative buyer personas can also be created and used to describe consumers and customers that marketers would like to avoid.
Example: Brands can create and share their buyer personas with the team in a variety of different ways. It might be a list of bullet points; it could be a robust, multi-paragraph story. It might include a stock photo or illustration.

Cookie
noun
A small file that is sent by a website to your computer and that contains information about how you use the site, so that this information is available the next time you use the site.
Example: It is worth knowing that most browsers allow the user to either enable or disable the COOKIEs however we must remember that some services are not usable without COOKIEs.

Ecommerce

Hashtag

A hashtag is a metadata tag that is prefaced by the hash (or pound) sign, #. Hashtags are used on microblogging and photo-sharing services such as Twitter or Instagram as a form of user-generated tagging that enables cross-referencing of content by topic or theme.
Example: Originally designed for categorizing posts, the hashtag can now be a tool for a supplementary coy or witty comment (e.g., #awkward). The word tag can mean "a word or phrase used for description or identification.

Lead

Lead refers to a potential customer in the sales funnel. The consumer is considered a lead because he or she has shown interest in the business or brand. Through the consumer’s interest/communication in the product or service, the intent to purchase is present. Communication includes a call, online form fill, or email.
Example: From generating to converting, you’re probably well aware that leads are an important part of marketing and the overall customer life cycle.
